Dear Coach

Dear Coach,

It has been November since we started working together. Wow! What progress we’ve had over the last several months. The success of the beginning of the season is the proof that I made the right decision partnering with you.

Up to this point I have done my best to follow the schedule and complete the workouts. To my knowledge, I’ve only missed three — four at the most — over the last four months. Might be that will change this week.

Sometimes training has gotten in the way of life. Well, life might be getting in the way for a few days. I’ve got a lot going on and while I plan to do my best to work in the training, I might not be able to follow through.

Just know that it won’t be because I’ve lost my commitment. I hope that all of my concerns here at the beginning of the week will be unfounded and I’ll get it all accomplished. That is my plan, but I need to get some of the pressure off of my mind.

You’ve told me when you take a week off you only come back faster. Of course, you expand that to say that for every week off after that takes two weeks to get back what you’ve lost! Don’t worry… I only need a week and then things will get back to normal.

I’m looking forward to the rest of the season!
